Karen Wood

Karen went to Southampton to study law in 1994 and achieved a 2:2 in 1997. During this time she won a competition in The Times in which she had to write a piece on the 'Role of Juries in Fraud Trials' which enabled her to go to Sheffield for work experience in Irwin Mitchell. She then studied at Anglia Polytechnic for a further year for her Legal Practice course in 1998. After passing these final exams, Karen secured a position with Cunningtons at the Colchester office in November 1998 but moved to the Wickford office to carry out her training contract. Karen qualified in November 2001 and was made office manager, a role she has fulfilled ever since.

Karen lives in a small village with her husband and young daughter. She is a member of her local netball team and attends both training and games during both the winter and summer leagues. She became a member of MENSA in 1998 and, in her spare time, enjoys both crossword puzzles and reading.
