Susan Perks
Susan is a Senior Associate and the Manager of The Family Department in our Braintree office. Having initially undertaken the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of law, Susan qualified as a Barrister. She was called to the Bar on 1st March 2005 having been awarded the grade of "Very Competent". Susan successfully passed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test in March 2006 and was subsequently admitted as a Solicitor on the 1st June 2006. Having assisted and practised in Family and Matrimonial law since 2001 Susan is an experienced Family Law Solicitor. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). In her spare time Susan is a keen gardener and enjoys growing fresh produce. She also enjoys mountain biking and walking with her St. Bernard dog.
Carol Toulson
Carol Toulson is an Associate Solicitor at our Braintree Office. Carol graduated from University in 1995 with an Upper Second Class Honours Degree. The following year she graduated from the College of Law and commenced her professional training here at Cunningtons starting on 5th August 1996. Carol has specialised in Family Law since she qualified as a Solicitor in 1998. During her career at Cunningtons, Carol has worked in our Colchester, Chelmsford and Braintree offices as well as taking time out to have three children. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). Carol has close ties with the Colchester & Tendring Women's Refuge and actively assisted the charity as a trustee for approximately 5 years.
