Cunningtons was established in 1748 by Augustus Cunnington and although law and office procedures have changed dramatically since that time, our aims remain the same. We aim to provide a truly efficient service acting in the very best interests of our clients.
We have a Legal Services Commission Franchise and although you may not be eligible for public funding (perhaps better known as Legal Aid), you may wish to know that this firm has been specially approved by the Legal Services Commission to provide a quality service to you. If you are in receipt of a low income or benefits such as income support, job-seekers allowance or working families tax credit, you may be eligible for Legal Aid and you should immediately telephone to speak to a solicitor who will assess whether you are entitled to Legal Aid.
Why our service is special
We believe that the divorce process is a relatively straightforward process providing both parties are content for the divorce to proceed and are amenable or at least are agreed that divorce is what both want. Direct Dial Divorce is designed to allow you to obtain a divorce quickly, easily and at a low cost to you. The service is also designed to enable us to take all necessary instructions from you over the telephone to avoid delays and the inconvenience of having to come in for an appointment. We shall, however, be happy to see you by appointment if you wish. We may need to see you to advise regarding matters ancillary to divorce and if you wish to apply for Public Funding. Our procedure is simple and easy to understand and you should not have any difficulties following the process. Hundreds of clients have divorced using our Direct Dial Service and saved thousands of pounds in legal fees! If you do have any concerns your Solicitor will be happy to address them.
